Wow, I haven't updated this since Italy. A ton has gone on since then, and i'm glad it's all over.
Tennis has been going well, we're undefeated :-D And I moved up to singles now, so i've played 2nd and 4th now, winning both. Had a match in fairport today where i played 4th singles. The first set went into a tie breaker and i won 8-6 which is acutally the closest possible win. Then 2nd set i beat him 6-0. Hahah, i think he gave up or somethign?
OOH oh ya, yesterday was the AP test. It was really hard, and i don't really want to know what i got. I think my writing probably helped me, i wrote like 9 pages in all. That 3rd essay sounded bad i think though even though i had the right ideas. Also that multiple choice... wow. But now that that's over, no more huge stress about it. And we get to just chill last period for a few days now!
Hmmm.. there's a huge thunderstorm right now so i hope the power doesnt go out. Oh ya, we got the results from that love test thing today. It's pretty funny i guess. The 10th grade ones are kinda random, but like all the ones from the whole school are alllll orch dorks. It's pretty weird, cause i don't remember answering that i played violin on the quiz. Jackie Leblanc and Kristie Gensheimer are my new lovers by the way. I'm highly compatible with them. (87 and 84 ratings) ;)
I'm glad that school's winding down now. I'm not trying at all any more, and i just want it to be summer. Ultimate is sounding realllyyyy good right now.

OK, so here's an Italy recap . . which might be really really really long. It was a ton of fun, and i met so many people it's crazy! Well I've been home for like 16 hours or something now, soo here it is.
TRAVEL
So we did the whole plane trip there thing, which was actually pretty fun in itself. I really don't like germany though. We stopped in Frankfurt airport, and the people were really not nice. Plus there was like a cross dresser flight attendant woman/man that was really scary. But then we got to Italy and things got better. We all had jet lag to the max but was OK. The first day of touring like 20 kids got lost in Milan and it took like 2 hours to find them. That's when our tour chaos all began and the chaperones started to get paranoid. Our group never got lost or anything, but Chris from our group did puke right outside the bus that first day. Mr. Ryck was so lax the whole time it was kinda bad. We like never saw him, except when we wanted 10 euros from him for meals. This did leave plenty of time to do whatever the hell we wanted though. Our trip brought us to Milan, Salsamaggiore, Pieve di Cento, Cremona, Imola, Modena, Florence, and Rome (Fong 35). (Toronto and Frankfurt if you count airports). All the cities had so much history and were so cool it made me really jealous similar to Spain. Everybody hangs out there and there's so much to do. Rochester is sooo shatty its horrible. Even the smallest cities in Europe have history going back like 100's/1000's of years ago. Our guide, Tassos was so great too leading us through all the cities. I'd have to say my favorite city was Cento though, maybe because we had the most free time there and the weather was the best. Our hotels were all over the charts. The first one was nice, but i had the creepiest room ever with John and Gabe. It was at the end of a hall with like no lights, and i swear to god this huge red mirror appeared in the middle of our first night right next to our room. Rome was unbelievable with all the ancient things there mixed right in with the 15th/16th century churches / cathedrals and then modern urban stuff. What happened like years 500-1400? It really was the dark ages i guess. It was such a mix of eras. Hmm, then at the end of the trip was just a blur of sleep deprivation and pasta. I went like 50 hours without sleeping in a bed the last 2/3 days. I slept on a hotel room floor, 2 airport floors, the seats in 2 airplanes, 2 busses and 1 wooden crate carrying cellos while pushing it through Germany cause i'm a good boy.
MUSIC
Well, i guess the whole point of the trip was about music, but that was really the smallest part of the trip. The most memorable / amazing night we had was after the second concert for sure though. It was so amazing and perfect. It was in this opera house that was just the right sized venue. We had 4 concerts, and our 2nd one was by far the best. Our last one with the chorus in rome wasn't bad either though. After being with all those people for 10 days, i really have an appreciation for how damn good so many kids in RPYO are at their insturments though. After travelling with them, you think wow, these are some pretty cool, normal kids. But every single one of them also has an incredible talent for music.
PEOPLE!
Wow, the most amazing part of the trip was the people i met though. The 3 guys who i roomed with, Joe, John, and Juinn i got to be really good friends with. We never fought or anything, which i was glad of cause we all had such little sleep. But besides them, there were tons of guys from the orchestra that i didn't know at all before like Tim, Steve and Aaron. Then there were a lot of girls that i never knew before, because i always just hung out with guys before. Christine, Wen-Fai, and Alyssa were the 3 that we hung out the most with. We did a lot of cool stuff together, plus i knew a lot of their friends already from sutherland. Hmmm...so many things happened with that group hilarious. Hahaha, one of the funniest was at this super-fancy lunch thing with like 10 courses. This mayor from Imola or somehwere was talking about this company that funded them, called SAKMI. When they said it, it sounded a lot of suck me, and i kept making faces and our whole table was like cracking up, being the immature goons we are. We were surprisingly immature for like average GPA of 4.1, 2.4 years ahead in math on average. Basically the future doctors and rocket scientists of America laughing at some italian lady saying "Sak Mi" 20 times. You know, the norm. Only sad part is that all the girls are seniors, and all the guys are going in different directions pretty much. Hopefully we can all keep in touch.
SO anywhooo, great time. GOtta go get caught up for school now.

Well, the awesomeness of this week is continuing, except in a more tired state. I could hardly stay awake today . . bahhhh. This is still the least homework i've had in a week this whole year. Wahhooo. It seems like all my teachers are randomly MIA this week too. Bradshaw will be out like 3 days for no reason listed. The guy that we have has worn a pink shirt 2 days in a row now. He's real dumb and calls scantrons 'scrantons.' "Write and pen and go over it in our old friend #2 pencil" Well he's dumb and it's fun to make fun of him in the back and make a mouth band with Seth and Jeff. Well he'll return tomorrow. Then in math our teacher was randomly gone too and we had the 2nd most annoying sub of the year. I finished all my work in 40 mins and he wouldn't let me do anythinggggg the rest of class. I asked him 4 times if i could listen to music but he was a homo and said no every time. So i basically slept and wrestled dave liesagang / made gay jokes at peach for another 40 minutes. dumb dumb dumb. OOh i forgot gym. Me and Craig are 4-0 for badmitton, we had one team just forefit today after it waws 15-0 hahaha. Sometimes I wonder if i'm far too intense in gym, and the answer is yes. But it's more fun to win than lose. Hmm, then i stayed after for tennis and it was f-ing canceled at 3:30. Damn you Siebert. I bummed a ride off tang then came home and went to sleep. I want this weekend to actually be fun cause i'm so f-ing sick of school. |

Hmm, another surprisingly nice day today! It was very similar to yesterday, but not quite as warm and more violin. And instead of cutting Georgie Porgie's balls open, i got to play badmittion. Wow, me and Craig dominate so much. We beat Myra and some little freshman kid 34-0 today. Then some other team like 19-6? It was domination whatever it was. I like how in science, we took our resing pulses and 1 person had like over 90. Bradshaw was being observed by mrs. aaronson, and then proceeded to ask the whole class who had the over 90. It was Laura Tornatore, (not Tim Diehl as i expected.) So she asks this in front of the whole class, a little embaressing for Laura. This can't look too good for bradshaw from mrs. aaronson, so don't be surprised if Bradshaw's fired tomorrow. We all know why now. Math was once again really really really stupid. We took notes on stuff we know while we were working on a problem that we have no idea how to do. Then tomorrow we watch a movie on catapults!! I'm so pumped. Spanish is going all right, i don't like the stupid vocab list though :/ It's literally like 150 words. Grrr... Well gotta finish that homework :*( |

Today was one of the better mondays in a long time. I woke up not very tired, and it was actually sunny outside! I actually caught the bus the first time it came around, and i got to wear shorts. Pig disection was ehhhh. Reproductive system, kinda nasty. I nearly cut the penis in half which was a close call. Then i snapped my scalpal in 2 pieces, oops. This was the last disection, and i'm kinda glad. Doing it first period on a monday was not my favorite thing in the world. In english me and matt lindenberg got some good research done for our paper on free school lunches, poverty etc. etc. Math was kinda fun, even though it's getting more rididulous every day. People keep asking her when we're gonna cover topics that we'll need to know, and she always says not to worry about it even though we're like 2 weeks behind the other classes. Yet we still do no work. Get to build a catapult this week which will be fun, but a waste of time (kinda like the scavenger hunts.) In spanish i actually did well on a quiz and whoever that lady was that did the oral was cool. I pretty well understood what graves was talking about in AP today, and i'm pumped for a Ghandi party. Tennis was decent today even though i got my ass handed to me, but thats ok. Learned how to do a slice serve and got it down pretty well for never doing it before. I guess i'm not bad at tennis for never taking lessons or anything. Oh, and the best part about today is that i have like 0 homework =) Oh and that i drew some awesome (really disgusting and disturbing) pictures on michelle's french homework that show how she really feels about ben. (not too good)

Just finished watching the St. Joes game. Wow, close close. My bracket is destroyed, i give up.
Today i was supposed to do a million things, and i actually only did 1 haha. Whole familys gone to drive my sister to ithaca, so i have the whole house to myself. So i was talking to misha and she was gonna come over or something, but then i went to her house and ilana and megan were there. They were fairly scary, but were nice to drive me home cause it was cold and i was in sandles cause i couldn't find my shoes. They came and rang my doorbell later though, and i went and nobody was there :( I looked around but it was dark. Then they did it twice more and i snuck upstairs and looked out my window and saw megans car. I had the bright idea to moon them . . . just as they were driving away. I always think of good ideas too late! Then i was supposed to go bowling with kerrie and kayleigh after dinner, but that didn't work out. I did get into a good diss war with lauren daly though, and i won after making fun of her whitenesss. She tried to get back in it with some Michael Jackson diss about raping little boys, but it was over by then. Then i was gonna go to emily's for a little party thign? But i already said i couldn't go and i didn't feel like walking in the cold/rain again.
So now i'm sitting here listening to music and reading about WWI. It's boring, but it must be done. I'm also starting to think that Prussia is a make believed land that never really existed. It's just russia with a P. How come i've never heard of it before this course? Cause it never really existed.
Well better'd get back to reading about Carlos Marx. I still don't get that spanish story :/ |

ahhh! trying to bring back old memories, just played tang in starcraft, and it sucked. never was very good at that game.... So anywho, its saturday and i'm bored again. I'm home alone all day and i wanna do something. Anybody, anybody? Ideas? I think i'm finally caught up on sleep, got like 11 hours last night, which is a lot for me. Then i had to have a quartet rehearsal this morning at 10 This was 1 of 3 quartets/quintets i'm in. I like the other one better . . cause it pays . . a lot. Got a gig this morning actually, gonna be super swankey at some party. I like playing fancy parties a lot better than weddings cause a) if you screw up in a wedding, you're fucked, b) generally get paid more and c) there's usually free food at parties ! ! I love how with the gigs i get, i make like as much/more $$ than people who have real jobs. I play, say, 3 hours. That's $150 to $200 for me. Suckers working at Tops work, say, 3 hours. They get paid: $20 if they're lucky. Then this summer I'll hopefully work at a day camp, which'll be fun. As much as I deny it, i like little kids. They're fun to be around, and they're easy to amuse! The older they get, the less I like them me thinks. Cause then they get all smart ass on you -_- The worst! is like little nerdy 7-12 year olds. Take my step-cousins for example. They're stupid as hell, but they think they're smarter than me. They're annoying. They smell bad. Little kids smell bad too, but they're cooler. There's nothing more satisfying to me than beating a nerdy 7-12 year old punk in anything. Punk. I know its mean but i just LOVE IT! This summer's gonna be sweet hopefully. Besides working at day camp, frisbee will be great again. I want to play spring leage SO BAD . . but i have RPYO on sundays. I think i'm actually quitting next year so i can do empire state games, junior olympics qualifiers, junior olympics (hopefully) all next year for skiing. This also means spring frisbee woo hoo! I kinda want to get a penfield team together more than there is. But i think mr. todd's leaving next year, so it'll be tough. I think misha and avi would be interested too. Frisbee is definatley the best team sport ever.(nordic is the best individual, not running btw) Everybody who does it rules. It's so social but not. The players officiate themselves, which is really cool aspect of the sport. I really like the spirit of the game thing. Its more about having fun / playing fair than winning. I know it sounds really cheesy on paper, but its actually really sweet. Gonna go get some lunch how. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING TONIGHT! |
